Partnership Opportunity

A resident show at your hotel .

Live. Intimate. Unexplainable.

Bring in locals on a Friday, in a room that would otherwise sit dark. Jonathan brings the show and the audience. You keep every dollar they spend at the bar and at dinner.

JONATHAN W. PRITCHARD · MENTALIST · ASHEVILLE, NC

I read minds for a living. I'm excellent at it.

30 years. More than 15,000 performances. Corporate stages for BP, Pure Storage, and United Airlines. 13 years with the James Randi Educational Foundation (yes, the skeptics). An America's Got Talent performance that got three yeses out of four judges. Penn & Teller Fool Us. Military tour. Linq casino performance on the strip in Vegas.

I live in Asheville. My show has run here in Asheville since October 2023, and it sells out, usually within 48 hours of tickets going on sale. The people buying those tickets live here too.

People come back. A surprising number of people have seen the show four or more times and brought friends on every visit. That's what word of mouth looks like from the box office.

I'm choosing where this show lives next, and I'm choosing carefully. It needs a room with a door that closes, a bar and a kitchen close by, and a partner who's proud to have it in the building.

SEE IT IN THE ROOM

A historic hotel in the heart of downtown Chicago loved it.

The Knickerbocker is a 1927 landmark in the heart of downtown Chicago. For three months, The Mind Reading Show ran there in residence, and the hotel loved the concept and was ecstatic we did it. Guests had a martini at the lobby bar before the show and dinner in the restaurant after, and every dollar of it was spent in the building.

The only thing that ended the run was COVID. Since October 2023 the show has been selling out in Asheville, usually within 48 hours of tickets going on sale.
WHO WALKS IN

Two groups of guests that you want.

Locals who'd never have come

On a Friday with nothing booked, your event space sits dark. The show fills it with locals.

Your restaurant competes with every other restaurant in town for a local's Friday night, and a show is the tiebreaker. These are people who wouldn't have booked a table with you on their own. The ads that bring them are aimed at your address, and Jonathan pays for them.

Guests who'd have spent the evening somewhere else

Hotel guests check in at 4:00 and head across town by 6:00. Dinner guests pay the check and leave. Either way, that's food and beverage walking out of a building that already had the customer.

When someone asks your staff what there is to do tonight, the answer is in the building.

YOUR BUILDING, ON FILM

Let's showcase your property.

We film the opening night in the room and cut it into a promo video that features your the show and your property: the room, the bar, and lots of of happy people having a great time.

Then we use it again and again, for as long as the show runs. Every time it plays, locals see your name.

PAID LOCAL ADS

Geo-targeted Facebook and Instagram, aimed at your address. Jonathan pays for every one.

THE LOCAL LIST

Sent to the show's local list: 850+ people who already buy tickets.

EVERY PROMO AFTER

Social posts, the ticketing page, and the confirmation email for every date, each one showing your room.

The Timeline

Two shows and two dinner seatings, and the two audiences never cross in the lobby. The times get set around your kitchen, so the show fills the edges of service and leaves the 7:30 rush alone.

5:00 PM · Doors

Early-show guests arrive and order a drink at the bar.

5:30 PM · The early show

About 75 minutes in your room, close enough to watch his hands the whole time.

6:00 PM · Dinner before the late show

The 8:00 crowd eats first, in your restaurant.

6:45 PM · The early show lets out

Fifty people walk out hungry, arguing about what they saw, and sit down for the 7:00 seating.

6:45 PM · The early show lets out

Fifty people walk out hungry, arguing about what they saw, and sit down for the 7:00 seating.

7:30 PM · Doors, again

The late-show guests head in with dinner done and a drink in hand.

8:00 PM · The late show

Same show, new room full of skeptics.

9:15 PM · After

The late crowd lands back at the bar with a story to tell. Jonathan stays to talk with guests, which is when the bar does its second-best business of the night.
The Deal

No money changes hands.

You provide:

  • The Room
  • One weekend night, on a regular monthly schedule
  • A mention to your own list, and a word from your staff when guests ask what’s on tonight
  • Your bar and kitchen, doing what they already do

Jonathan brings:

  • The show, start to finish, with no crew
  • The audience: a 850-person local list, plus paid local ads he runs and pays for
  • A promo video shot on your property, used in every ad for the run
  • The box office: tickets, check-in list, and refunds. Your staff never fields a ticket question
  • Setup and strike, by himself. The room goes back exactly how we found it

You keep every dollar of food and beverage. Jonathan keeps the ticket revenue and pays for the ads that bring people to your location.

There's no fee and no revenue share, so nothing has to go through finance or procurement. It's a decision you can make on your own.

Let's connect.

I'm local here to Asheville, so how about we spend twenty minutes over coffee. We can chat about how this can work, I can answer any questions you have, and we build something amazing together.
